The Art of Over Thinking is the first officially authorised account of the life and work of welsh writer, James Ellis. It is a non fiction book written by Ellis himself with additional material by friend and journalist Jeff Scott.

It tells the story of both his personal and creative life to date. It includes interviews, never- before- seen extracts, original notes, artwork and drawings and photographs from his personal archive. Each project is examined in detail, as is the life that made him who he is today.
