The James Ellis Archive

James Ellis is the author of several young adult books, ‘The Mirrored World,’ ‘The Enemies of Angels,’ ‘The Lord of Souls,’ ‘The Secret of the Woods,’ ‘The Tranquillity Bureau,’ ‘A Dream Of Angels’ and ’These Angelic Devices.’

As well as children’s books ‘The Fairytale Thief,’ ‘Tinsel & Heart,’ ‘The Boy Who Loved Clouds,’ ‘The Emerald Mirror’ and ‘The Magnificent Adventures Of A Well Travelled Cat.’

He is also the author of comic book series ‘Modern Days,’ ‘Magic America,’ ‘Solomon,‘ and graphic novel ‘The Haunting Of Daniel Kipps.’

Occasionally he will write a theatre play like ‘A Matter of Light and Darkness,’ or put together numerous collections of his song lyrics.

The James Ellis Archive was created for the purpose of having everything under one roof, a central hub with links to his various Tumblr pages and Booksie, as well as being an archive of his works .

The Art Of Over Thinking

The Art of Over Thinking is the first authorised account of the life and work of welsh writer, James Ellis.

A dedicated Tumblr page based on the two non -fiction books of the same name, written by Ellis himself with additional material by friend and journalist Jeff Scott.

It tells the story of both his personal and creative life to date. It includes interviews, never- before- seen extracts, original notes, artwork and drawings and photographs from his personal archive. Each project is examined in detail, as is the life that made him who he is today.

‘Modern Days’ is the official Tumblr page dedicated to the adult comic book series created by welsh writer James Ellis and illustrated by Joe DeSantos.

It’s a story about history, myth and legend, about angels and gods, and about how life is always change. It’s about what it means to be both mortal and immortal, but at its heart it’s a story about a very dysfunctional family.

This family is the Morningstar Family. A family of fallen angels, but a family none the less. At the end of the day a family is a family with all the things that always brings.
